EM209 Handheld Enclosure

MB Series

The EM209 is a large black handheld enclosure suitable for housing mobile control devices and data collection units. The enclosure is moulded in ABS material and the rugged design ensures the enclosure will stand up to impact. An optional gasket is available and this will create an IP65 rating helping to prevent water and dust ingress.

This model has a battery cover on the back of the enclosure capable of housing 2 x AA, 2 x 9V, 1 x 9V and 4 x AA battery compartments. The front face of the handheld enclosure a LCD cut out and a recessed area suitable for membrane keypads measuring 168 x 81 x 1.78mm, alternate versions of this enclosure are available without LCD cut out. PCB mounts are situated in both the top and base of the unit allowing the user to mount more than one PCB.

A range of protective rubber boots with tilt stand are available which increase the protection the enclosure provides by making them more visible and aiding protection against impact.
